PaisaRadar ("we", "our", "us") provides spending analysis and insights based on financial transaction data derived from SMS messages and user account activity. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your choices.

1. Information We Collect

We may collect the following types of data:

• Phone number
• OTP verification data used only for authentication purposes
• Internal user ID

• Only SMS messages identified as financial transaction alerts (such as bank or UPI messages) are accessed and processed
• SMS sender ID
• SMS timestamp
• Extracted transaction details (amount, merchant, category, type, payment mode, etc.)

• Device push notification token (FCM token)
• Basic app diagnostics and error logs

• Recategorization choices
• Insight exclusion preferences
• Parser issue reports and notes

2. How We Use Your Data

• Authenticate your account
• Detect and extract financial transactions
• Build transaction history and spending insights
• Generate summaries and recommendations
• Improve parsing accuracy and categorization
• Send notifications (if enabled)
• Maintain security and prevent misuse

3. SMS Access Clarification

PaisaRadar requests SMS permission solely to identify and process financial transaction messages.

During this process, non-financial messages (such as personal conversations or OTPs) may be temporarily accessed by automated filtering logic but are not stored, analyzed, or used for generating insights.

You can revoke SMS permission at any time from your device settings. Revoking permission may disable transaction syncing and related features.

4. Notifications

If enabled, we may send push notifications related to insights and app activity.

We store a device push token (via Firebase Cloud Messaging) to deliver notifications.

You can disable notifications at any time in device settings.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell or rent your personal data.

We may use trusted third-party service providers strictly to operate the app, including:

• Cloud hosting and database providers
• Authentication and OTP services
• Push notification services (e.g., Firebase Cloud Messaging)

AI services may be used only to improve the wording of insights.

No raw SMS content is shared with AI providers.

6. Data Retention

We retain data only as long as necessary to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, and resolve disputes.

Users may request deletion of their account and associated data by contacting us.

Deleted data will be permanently removed from our systems within a reasonable timeframe.

Account deletion requests are processed within 30 days. Limited records may be retained for legal, security, or fraud-prevention obligations where required by law.

7. Security

We implement reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect user data, including secure transmission and controlled access.

However, no system is completely secure.

8. Your Choices and Rights

You can:

• Revoke SMS permission via device settings
• Disable notifications via device settings
• Request account and data deletion
• Contact us for any privacy-related queries

9. Children's Privacy

PaisaRadar is intended for users aged 18 and above. We do not knowingly offer services to minors.
